We often forget that we are lucky that tap water in our country is among the best in the world despite some of its added content. Water at Work is lucky. Our spring water flows out the ground naturally at it’s source.
Billions of people all over the planet are less fortunate,
- 1.1 billion people do not have access to safe water. That’s about one sixth of the world’s population
- 2.6 billion people, about two fifths of the world’s population, do not have access to adequate sanitation
- About 5,000 children in the world are killed by water related diseases every day
- Half the world’s hospital beds are occupied by people suffering from water related diseases
- Women in rural Africa spend 26% of their time fetching water for their families
For every drop of water we sell, we make sure that someone in the less developed world is closer to getting the water supply they need.
